HOW WE KEEP GUIDES USEFUL
How We Research and Review CRB Information
Our goal is clear, useful consumer guidance grounded in official Kenyan regulatory and credit-bureau sources.
Source hierarchy
For rules and consumer rights, we prioritize the Central Bank of Kenya and Kenyan law. For a bureau’s own procedures, contacts, fees and products, we prioritize that bureau’s official website or published documents. We use secondary sources only when they add context and do not replace an available primary source.
Review and freshness
Guides show when they were last reviewed. A review means checking important claims, links and procedures so the information stays useful when official processes change.
Corrections
If we identify a material error, we correct it as soon as practicable. Where a procedure or fee may have changed, we prefer wording that tells readers to verify the current official position rather than presenting an old figure as permanent.
Commercial independence
Commercial enquiries never influence the factual standard used for our guides. We clearly distinguish our independent service from official bureau services and do not describe ourselves as an official bureau unless a formal authorization exists.
